The mission of the Global Alliance to Eliminate Lymphatic Filariasis is to bring together a diverse group of private health partners to support the Global Programme to Eliminate Lymphatic Filariasis by mobilising political, financial and technical resources to ensure success.

The Global Alliance assists in information exchange, coordination or programme activities, fundraising and advocacy.

To date the Global Alliance includes, in addition to the Ministries of Health of the endemic countries, more than 40 organisations from the public and private sectors, academia, international development organisations, and non-governmental organisations. Membership is open to all interested parties.

In this section, you will find information on the history and structure of the Global Alliance, as well as biographies of the Executive Group members. Links to other Global Alliance websites and more information about major partners in the Global Alliance are also found here.

     
Global Alliance History
This section includes a brief history of the Global Alliance to Eliminate Lymphatic Filariasis and synopses of the three Global Alliance meetings.

Goals
An explanation of the main goals of the Global Alliance.

Global Alliance Structure and Organizational Chart
This section includes an overview of the current Global Alliance structure and an explanation of the relationship between the Global Alliance and the Global Programme. There is also a diagram of the Global Alliance and where it fits in the effort to eliminate lymphatic filariasis.
