Helen Keller International (HKI)

Helen Keller International (HKI) provides expertise, training and technical assistance to establish nutrition and eye health programs in partnership with host countries. HKI’s mission is to save the sight and lives of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged by combating the causes and consequences of blindness and malnutrition. It is widely understood that improving health and vision are critical links in combating poverty and sustaining development. HKI is devoted to working with partners around the world to help meet key provisions of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). HKI works in several regions where lymphatic filariasis is co-endemic with onchocerciasis (river blindness) to distribute Mectizan®, an anti-parasitic drug.
