Interchurch Medical Assistance (IMA), United States of America

Interchurch Medical Assistance, Inc. (I.M.A.) is a U.S. nonprofit association of twelve Protestant relief and development agencies that represent a constituency of churches in America and throughout the world.

Since 1960, I.M.A. has facilitated approximately $15-20 million in donated medical products annually for international health care programs that serve people in need without regard to ethnicity, creed, color, gender, national origin, religious or political affiliation.

I.M.A. works in collaboration with governmental, non-governmental and corporate partners, provides technical assistance and management oversight, and acts as liaison between international partners and grassroots church-based organizations.

I.M.A. provided oversight for major funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for ministries of health and non-governmental organizations supporting LF elimination and treatment programs in Ghana, Tanzania, Burkina Faso, Nigeria and India. Additionally, I.M.A. is providing technical assistance and financial oversight for a LF elimination and treatment program in Northern Haiti.

I.M.A. is a registered IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
