The Institute for
Medical Research (IMR) in Kuala Lumpur is the research arm of the Ministry
of Health in Malaysia. IMR's mission is to promote and conduct quality
research directed at solving the health problems of the country, and to
provide consultative services to health providers, managers, and planners
in improving the health of the Malaysian population.
IMR is a WHO Collaborating
Center for:
- Taxonomy and Immunology
of Filariasis and Clinical Trials of Drugs Against Brugian Filariasis,
- Ecology, Taxonomy
and Control of Vectors of Malaria, Filariasis and Dengue, and
- Training for the
Lymphatic Filariasis Elimination Program.
