Mosquito feeding

Many species of mosquitoes are responsible for the transmission of lymphatic filariasis; the most important vectors for W. bancrofti are Culex quinquefasciatus, Anopheles gambiae, Anopheles funestus, Aedes polynesiensis, Ae. scapularis and Ae. pseudoscutellaris. B. malayi is transmitted by various species of Mansonia, Anopheles and Aedes. B. timori is transmitted by An. barbirostris - WHO
