USAID

The United States Agency for International Development's (USAID) programs in global health represent the commitment and determination of the US government to prevent suffering, save lives, and create a brighter future for families in the developing world. USAID has granted money through the World Bank for the development and implementation of lymphedema management programs at the state or national levels in collaboration with Ministries of Health and NGOs as part of the overall effort to eliminate lymphatic filariasis.

USAID has awarded a Neglected Disease Control project grant to the Research Triangle Institute (RTI) and Liverpool Associates in Tropical Health (LATH) for $100million for an integrated NTD programme which will include support to the LF elimination programme.
