The Vector Control
Research Centre (VCRC) is a permanent Institute of the Indian Council
of Medical Research ( ICMR ), established in the year 1975 to carry out
basic and applied research in the field of Vector Borne diseases and their
Control.
The Centre is a premier
research institution in India with 25 Scientists, 75 Technical Staffs
and 155 Administrative and other supportive staffs. The World Health Organisation
(WHO ) has designated the VCRC as the Colloborating centre for Research
and Training in Integrated Methods of Vector Control.
